Kevin was raised in Pittsburgh, PA on Imperial 65 whiskey, chipped ham, and the poetry of E.E. Cummings.

As a teenager he cruised the streets in a ’77 Buick Regal looking for the best pickup basketball games, eventually earning a scholar-ship to Holy Cross in Massachusetts, where his first college minutes were against Glen Rice’s National Championship Michigan Wolverines. Post-game he returned to his hotel and wrote his first poem: Why I Will Never Play In The NBA. After graduating, Kevin careened around the agency world as a copywriter producing such legendary work as the e-newsletter Your Psoriasis and You. He eventually landed in Columbia University’s film school, graduating with a concentration in screenwriting. His first screenplay - Over and Out - won the Austin Film Festival Best Comedy screenplay and garnered him an agent. He wrote a variety of screenplays for a variety of producers none of which were ever produced. Gathering the other NY starving artists he knew at the time, he made the micro-budget improv-based feature Filmic Achievement - which was later described as “…the Spinal Tap of film school” and played at over 30 film festivals. While navigating a successful commercial career - with nods in Communication Arts Annual, Creativity, Adweek and The New York Times for his "real people" and cinematic documentary work - he directed the documentary Running America. In 2010, he was included in SHOOT magazine’s “Best New Directors” showcase.

He currently resides in North Carolina with his partner and their adopted Greyhound, Chipin, Tortie and Tuxedo.
